Families that laugh together

I love families. (What else is new, right?)

But I also love meeting new people.

I make it a challenge to myself to get to know people during their session.

Not the typical, "Where do you work? Live? What do you like to do? How old are you?

But the ways in which they interact.

The way daddy holds his girls.

The way they walk together.

How they fit as a family.

And somehow...

It becomes them.

Somewhere along the way, they take ownership.

They become a family.

Not just a family that's having pictures done.

But a family that explores together.

That loves together.

That laughs together.

That's what I love.

Things I love

So... Every now and then, I do blog posts where I share what I love about each photo. It's for those of you who enjoy knowing what I was thinking when I did took the photo. For those of you who don't care to know what's going on inside my brain (you're incredibly wise), you can just ignore my random freak-outs. Happy Monday. :)

I love.

I love museums.

I love little hands.

I love leading lines.

I love old things. (And I love chopping off heads. Makes me feel powerful.)

I love big versus little.

I love depth. (Physically and emotionally.)

I love those cold cheeks.

I love that sparkle in her eye, and that I'm-up-to-no-good grin.

I love the way they cuddle.

I love that tongue.

I love watching them play.

I love joy.

I love that look.

I love them.
