If you think cold weather is going to stop us from having a delightful photoshoot, you’re wrong.

If you think cold weather is going to stop us from being hilarious, obnoxious, silly, and sweet… you’re wrong again.

And if you think cold weather is going to stop me from asking you to play with your kiddos (maybe even on the ground)… you’re probably wrong about that too.

But… if you think that the cold weather is going to stop us from indulging in ice cream while our fingers and noses freeze…

Oh wait. You’re wrong about that one too. (SORRY NOT SORRY)

Stacey… ha, you can’t even tell how cold it was! You fooled everyone. :) You and your family keep getting cuter and cuter and I refuse to admit I’m biased but I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH. Enjoy the photos!!

Sometimes pictures are overwhelming.

We pick the photographer, the date, the location, the time, and the outfits.

We get the kids ready, the hair ready, the makeup ready, the outfits re-ready, the kids ready, the snacks ready, the kids re-ready, and then sometimes…

We show up a little tired. Worn out. Not always ready to act like we actually love these people.

But you see these beautiful people? They’re pros.

Not because there isn’t chaos. (OH THERE IS BELIEVE ME)

But because in the midst of the chaos, we just schedule fun. A breath. A little bit of silliness. (Maybe a silly song about breath to combine the two?)

And then when we get back into the chaos… we’re ready to hug again. Smile a bit.

Maybe even show up and love these people we call our family.

Erik and Elizabeth… can I just say, it never gets old with you guys? KEEP THE YEARS COMING because I have a lot more tricks and games and FUN up my sleeve!! You really are my people. Love you so much!
